This exclusive Launceston performance brings together early music experts from Australia, Denmark and the Czech Republic, to perform exquisite Baroque music on the instruments for which it was originally written.
An international collaboration between some of the most exciting musicians working in historically informed performance today, Czech Mate features Czech violinist Helena Zemanová, VDB Artistic Director Julia Fredersdorff (Baroque violin), Australian dulcian specialist Jane Gower and renowned Danish harpsichordist Lars Ulrik Mortensen.
Hear these superstars of early music present baroque gems by Castello, Fontana, Rossi, Ortiz, Schmelzer and more in the glorious acoustic of St Johns Launceston.
Presented in association with Sydney Opera House Trust.
