An exquisite all-Bach program of cantatas and instrumental works.
The music of Johann Sebastian Bach is pure perfection: a vast yet intricate tapestry of heavenly beauty and human emotion which speaks to us across centuries.
Van Diemen's Band welcomes guest vocalist, tenor Kyle Stegall, for an all-Bach program of sublime cantatas and exquisite instrumental works. Performing on gut strings and instruments of the past, VDB honours the colours and textures Bach himself would have known, to reveal these masterworks with fresh ears and perspectives.
Program highlights include arias from Wo soll ich fliehen hin (Where shall I flee) BWV 5 and Nun komm der Heiden Heiland (Now come, savior of the Gentiles) BWV 62, and excerpts from the Orchestral Suite in B minor BWV 1067.

American-born tenor Kyle Stegall is a renowned interpreter of baroque and classical repertoire on both opera and concert stages. In 2025, Kyle made his Australian mainstage debut as Belmonte in Mozart’s Abduction from the Seraglio with Victorian Opera.
